Video of my Thoughts Regarding Islam

A video the apologists for radical Islam should see.

If/when another mob of the practitioners of the "Religion of Peace" burns our flag, overruns one of our embassy grounds (which under international law are our sovereign territory) and murder our ambassador and others, will the Obama administration apologize for this video?

The NYY

The Yanks are up 2 with 7 to play. Toronto for 4 and the hated Sox for 3.

Transformative Times

Been away for a long while. Reality street and the pressure of making a living will do that for you.

Anyhoo, 40 days until the election. Have been ruminating on this and the conclusion is, "transformative" is too weak a term.

In this corner, we have what can only be described as a charismatic, Alinskyite community organizer whom believes America must atone for its past, and in the other, a successful businessman with a love for America, but the charisma of an amoeba. The organizer wishes to "fundamentally transform America" with an ever increasing scope of government involvement in our lives, while the businessman likes the country as it was and wishes to return to a small government, responsibility based society. Two more differing views have never faced one another in a presidential election in my lifetime.

Who will win? The one who promises the security of a subject at the price of individual atonomy and a withering economy, or the one who promises the chance for a vibrant economy at the price of having to be a citizen and take responsibility for your actions?

40 days and we will know. I fear for my country

Constitutional Rights

Here is one of the best explanations for why the "Rights" of healthcare, housing, food and etc. are in direct contradiction to how the founding fathers viewed the concept of rights. My only quibble is when the author mentions the right to privacy existing in the Bill of Rights. It does not exist there or anywhere else in our Constitution and Justive Stevens', in his "Roe" opinion, discovering it due to the "shadows and penumbras" the other explicitly stated rights cast, is bad law!

Scroll down a little way to "Rights and Wrongs"

How do you do, the Ruminator here

Ruminator: One who ruminates.

Ruminate: to engage in contemplation; reflect.

The other definitions have to do with chewing cud and I guess they might just fit considering I'll be "chewing things over" on this site, trying to make sense of them. Also, will be writing about baseball, cooking and anything else that comes to mind.
